Inkscape step-by-step beginner tutorial on how to create a basic circular logo with text wrapped around the top perimeter and curved around the bottom. Follow along in this Inkscape screen capture showing how to: 1. Make from scratch the inner and outer circles and cut out the center. 2. Take the background out from behind an image and use Trace Bitmap Tool and the Bezier Pen to extract a vector asset as the subject of the graphic design. 3. Layer a beach sunset color palette beneath the center graphic. 4. Clip new vector assets and resize to make a beautiful, clean, simple, minimalist, modern Santa Monica, California logo complete with lifeguard tower and some pelicans. In this tutorial I'll be demonstrating how you can design a physical book cover that can be uploaded to Kindle Direct Publishing to be printed on an actual book. You can download the templates from KDP here: 🤍 CORECTION: At the end of the video I said that you should export your finished design as a JPG file. This is incorrect. In this video, I will provide you with the logo design process from sketch to final design by using Inkscape. We will extract the points that are vital in the design process. 2) Mind Mapping If anybody wants to learn how to design a logo, then the mind-mapping process is the most important one. In this process, we write down the most relevant keywords about the logo design and also about the brand services. 3) Sketching If you are also a logo designer, then this step helps you in saving your valuable time. Because in this step we will simply draw a few rough sketches on the paper, just to get a hint about the logo visual. 4) Sketch Selection Once we draw a few sketches on paper, then we will select our favorite sketch. 5) Final vector logo In this process, we will design a vector logo from the finalized sketch, by using Adobe Illustrator. This process is like a logo design tutorial in Adobe illustrator. 6) Color Pallete In this step, we will apply colors to our logo. And also we will check the feasibility of our logo in both colored and dark backgrounds. If the only copies you have for your logo are rasterized formats like PNG and JPG, then you won't be able to reap the benefits of having a vector SVG file, like infinite scaling and being able to edit your logo in the future. In that case, you'll need to generate a vector copy of your logo using vector design software, and that's what I'll be demonstrating in this video. In this tutorial I'll be demonstrating 2 different ways to convert PNG logos to SVG files using Inkscape. Both of these methods are ideal for beginners and first-time users of Inkscape.
