The HC4 uses an AKM DAC chips versus the ESS DAC in the HC3. HC4 includes both 4.4mm and 3.5mm headphone jacks, Digital Audio Remaster (DAR) to upsample PCM and DSD, and supports both UAC 2.0 and UAC 1.0 for use with gaming systems. HC3 includes only 3.5mm headphone jack but does include support for gaming headsets with mics and MQA decoding. HC4 does not include support for MQA or mics. Cables are removable/replaceable on HC4 and includes USB-C to USB-C and USB-C to Lightning cables. HC3 has USB-C cable attached and a USB-C to Lightning adapter for iOS devices. They are both very similar rigs with the low CG, very stable trucks, leaf springs and both have a 2 speed tranny. Like I always do, I will be making some mods to the HC4. I want to suck the front bumper back, so that have a better approach angle on the rocks. Then make a skid plate that goes under the gas tank and step, to make it slide better on the rocks. Whoop Whoop indeed. I have been eyeing up a Cross RC HC4 for some time now. I love the look of the cab and the more compact size is very appealing. I am better at dealing with small things! After selling the mammoth there was a 12th scale hole in my rc fleet so something needed to be done about this. Since the beginning of time, the Imset has been here. I don't see it talked about too much so I decided to make a small review for it.
